My Cooking Story
I have only been cooking seriously for the last 12 years. I was terrified by the thought of cooking; it seemed so hard. I used to go to restaurants and think it was a magical world that only the chosen few with talent could create. Then, I realized that creativity in theater, fashion, design, or art has all the same elements. A sense of adventure and combining ingredients, whether fabric, paint, wood or any other medium, into something new.

With my newfound realization, I jumped into the kitchen with both feet and never looked back.
I have notebooks and pads in almost every drawer in my kitchen, and I write down everything I try, cross out what does not work, adjust, and when it is ready, I try it out on my husband and friends. I realized that the best cooking is about fresh food, ingredients, the joy of cooking, and sharing your creation with friends, family, and others. Cooking is a social activity; it is the original social media.

I started my blog about seven years ago as an easy way to share recipes with friends and family. I love to cook and try new things; often, when dining, I end up in the restaurant's kitchen at some point in the evening, learning the secret of a dish or a new technique.
Enjoy Cooking.
